The Counterfeiters

This movie won an Oscar for Best Foreign Film (in 2008).  It was truly interesting and I'm glad we watched it.  The movie takes place in a concentration camp and follows the Nazis desire to counterfeit both the English pound and the American dollar.  While they have no problem duplicating the pound (even taking it to a bank in London and having it certified), the ink and consistency of the American dollar does prove to be a problem for a variety of reasons.  The movie does have subtitles, so if you are not a fan of that, this may not be the movie for you.  If, however, subtitles are not a problem, then checking out The Counterfeiters is well worth it!
