Deadwood (Season One)

This show takes place in the 1800s and focuses on the town of Deadwood, SD.  In the first season we are introduced to several main characters: Seth Bullock (Timothy Olyphant), Al Swearengen (Ian McShane), Wild Bill Hickok, Calamity Jane and several others.  In the first season it was so interesting to see how some notable characters from history (Calamity Jane and Wild Bill Hickok) were represented and acted.  I think that everyone in this series does a really good job and if you can get past the swearing and cussing (which really was a lot easier than I thought it would be), it's a really great show.  Erik says he even enjoys this more than Rome and he really liked Rome.

Rent or Own Scale: Rent but Own if you really like the series (like we do)
