The Duchess

This movie tells the life story of Georgiana, the Duchess of Devonshire.  She marries a duke and after realizing he doesn't really love her (as he takes a live-in mistress), she also decides to pursue a relationship, but with a Whig politician.  After the duke finds out, he threatens to take the children away from her if she continues the relationship.

I think what I disliked about the movie was more how the men controlled everything than the actual movie itself.
